Jingzhu Main God and Shina Dubei Gu are gods from the Sun Island mythology system.

As a part-time Witch, the power system of the Divine Era Rain Prayer is called [Divine River Nihaoji], one of the mainstream Extraordinary systems of the Japan Island Anomaly Investigation Bureau,

similar in principle to Divine Arts, borrowing power from gods.

The problem is, on Sun Island, there is neither a Level 40 player, nor can the prevailing consumerist atmosphere support a Faith Sealing God system.

They had to find another way—Shintoism claims eight million gods, with rural statues, Buddha statues, and religious items everywhere.

They smash these statues, which gather the Power of Faith of the ancients, grind them into powder, and make Talismans;

or directly use special drilling to extract power from historical sites, creating one-time powerful Divine Talismans.

Such methods naturally exhaust resources, not only reducing the future upper limit of Sun Island’s Extraordinary system, but also increasing the risk of earthquakes and tsunamis, leaving endless disasters behind.

In response, the Japan Island Anomaly Investigation Bureau has its theories: firstly, the claim that special drilling induces earthquakes and tsunamis hasn’t been rigorously scientifically proven;

secondly, in these times of great struggle, all Japanese who refuse to sacrifice for their country are non-citizens;

finally, at Japan’s abysmal birthrate, without introducing foreign immigrants, the population will drop from 126 million to below 50 million within a hundred years, able to find habitable coastal areas with resources in any killing field,

so even if Sun Island sinks entirely into the sea, it doesn’t matter.

With this method of sacrificing the country’s future for temporary gains, the Talismans refined indeed are stronger than average consumable items, and their functions are comprehensive.

The Great Mountain God’s Paper Talisman slams down with a mighty stone, bringing the Sun-absorbing Chicken back to the ground;

The Inari God’s Paper Talisman generates a large rice field, ensnaring the rooster’s claws, preventing it from breaking free;

The Mechanical Swarm was much larger in size than the Sun-absorbing Chicken, and no matter how much the latter fired scorching lasers, giving injuries for injuries, it crashed through three buildings with it,

holding the rooster’s neck with its left forelimb and pressing its chest with the right.

This move is called [Tonic Immobility], an animal physiological reaction common in chickens, ducks, rabbits, lizards, opossums, frogs, and other animals.

When prey is caught by a predator, if it suddenly becomes motionless, the predator might mistake it for dead or diseased, losing interest.

Allowing the prey to escape, increasing its chances of passing on advantageous genes.

For birds, this is a fundamental code, even a chick born just a day exhibits this behavior, without needing to learn it postnatally.

Grabbing the neck and pressing the chest triggered the {Tonic Immobility} instinct. The Sun-absorbing Chicken, struggling desperately a second ago, suddenly slowed down noticeably.

The Mechanical Swarm pressed its advantage, presenting Zongsi’s hallucinogenic dust.

Without needing to know the specific effects of the dust, just from the cautious actions of the Mechanical Swarm, one can tell it’s not good.

The Sun-absorbing Chicken screeched sharply, firing laser attacks at the joints of the claw, and with feathers shedding massively, it stubbornly escaped from the Mechanical Swarm’s grasp, flying back to high ground.

Its chest puffed high, taking a deep breath, swallowing a pile of snake eggs from the central garden, along with Maxwell who couldn’t dodge in time, into its belly, then fled far without looking back.
