Chapter 602 - 583: Encountering Ye Chen
Given the area’s uniqueness, the approach to dealing with situations here was different, too. These policemen, who had been on duty here all year round, were pretty familiar with the local ruffians.
"Ah, Li, you’ve finally arrived!" the leader of the ruffians scrambled up from the ground, then said in pain, "We were just playing here today, and I didn’t expect this guy to start trouble with me. Look..."
"What’s your name?" The policeman wearing a crooked hat didn’t look like a good Samaritan, a cigarette hanging from his lips as he addressed Ye Chen, "Which area are you registered in?"
"Officer, sir, these are the bad guys, and Ye is helping us!" Duoduo and Wei Zhen hurriedly came forward to help Ye Chen out. However, the policeman scoffed and said, "This guy clearly isn’t a good person. He single-handedly knocked down all these people. Do you think his intentions are pure?"
"That’s right, this guy is definitely not a good person!" The leading man immediately wrapped his arm around Wei Zhen and said, "He even dared to steal my girlfriend!"
"Who’s your girlfriend? Don’t touch me!" Wei Zhen struggled at once. However, the man laughed with a grimace and said, "Dear, stop making a fuss. Is it just because I didn’t buy you a fancy camera? I’ll get you one when we get back, alright?"
"Ah, don’t talk nonsense!" Wei Zhen was nearly driven mad, unable to believe the thug’s shamelessness.
"As a policeman, you’re unable to stand up for the people, so what use are you?" Ye Chen looked coldly at the policeman with the crooked hat.
"Oh, kid, you’re teaching me a lesson now?" The crooked-hat policeman grinned and then commanded several nearby officers, "This guy is suspected of endangering national security, take him away!"
"Yes, sir!" The police immediately moved forward to make the arrest, but Ye Chen suddenly charged, reaching the crooked-hat in no time, pressing a dagger to his throat and grinning, "Since you say I’m a threat to national security, let’s have a try. I’ve never killed anyone on Tian’anmen Square; today, I’ll get a taste of what that’s like!"
