"No!" Ye Chen immediately snapped to attention with a salute and said, "Nanjing Military District, Iron Eagle Team member Ye Chen reporting to Elder Pang!"
"Ha-ha, good lad!" Elder Pang laughed heartily, then returned the salute to Ye Chen, and said, "Not bad, come, have a drink with me!"
"Yes!" Ye Chen nodded vigorously.
"What’s with the formality, boy? Where’s that spunk you had when you’d ask the old man to buy cigarettes for you?" Elder Pang glared at Ye Chen and said, "Come on, get with it. Pour me a drink!"
"Yes!" Ye Chen suddenly realized something and hurriedly grinned, "Heh-heh, how could I have you pour a drink for me? If I’m here for a drink, let me do the pouring!"
Ye Chen immediately slipped over to the stone table inside the pavilion and, taking hold of the wine pot, poured Elder Pang a drink.
"That’s more like it!" Elder Pang laughed heartily.
The two drank three consecutive cups. The liquor truly was different from that available outside, the special supply tasted so much richer. Ye Chen couldn’t help but drink two extra cups, praising it endlessly. Elder Pang laughed, "Little Yezi, if you like it, I’ll have someone send a bottle over to you later, how’s that?"
