Chapter 459 - 232 Laredo
Boketu drove the Jeep towards the suburban hangar. It took some time to arrive there, and they saw a family of five moving their private plane out of the hangar to fly somewhere else for a vacation.
After getting out of the car, Allen Zhang approached the hangar, entered the password to unlock it, and opened the large warehouse doors. Boketu drove the Jeep inside and piloted out the Cirrus FS50 Fathead Shark.
Upon opening the plane’s cabin door, they saw the cargo neatly placed on the rear seats, valued at 400,000 US Dollars from South America.
Allen Zhang loaded all the equipment from the Jeep onto the plane, seated Blitz, closed the cabin door, and asked, "How much are those customers prepared to pay for this batch of goods?"
"The market price is around 380,000 to 420,000 US Dollars, if they’re satisfied they’ll surely pay 400,000 US Dollars," Blitz answered. "Once we reach Laredo, we need to go to a Tex-Mex restaurant to find a Mexican named Bolo. He’s somewhat well-known locally, mainly for luring customers and climbing walls, handling fake documents. However, from the information I’ve gathered, this guy seems to have engaged in underhanded dealings more than once."
"Do we still dare to go there and trade with such a person?" Boketu was somewhat puzzled, piloting the Cirrus Fathead Shark out of the hangar, parking it on the public airport runway, waiting to take off.
"After all, it’s goods worth 400,000 US Dollars. It’s not so easy to liquidate this in the local market. The Biker Gang and other street gangs occupy large shares of the Los Angeles underground market. The market is only so big; if we compete with them, it would definitely bring trouble. If we want to offload quickly, we can only go to other states, and the best option is through illegal routes. Laredo’s daily business turnover from South American imports accounts for at least 100 million US Dollars, our volume thrown into it doesn’t make any splash at all," Blitz responded. "Anyway, we’re just doing this as a one-off, not as professionals in organic trade."
"I’m actually interested to see how he double-crosses," Allen Zhang chuckled.
Boketu got off the plane, closed the hangar door, relocked it, and after checking everything was correct, returned to the pilot’s seat.
