"Where are you? Why aren’t you answering my calls?" A disgruntled voice came from the other end.

"What kind of job keeps you out all night? Are you at the seaside villa in San Monita? You definitely know about the cost of living there, don’t you? Are you depending on your talent to find work? It must be a one-off gig!" The other person remarked with a mix of sarcasm.
"Fxxk you! You spying on me? You don’t trust me?" Erin was annoyed, "I don’t recall agreeing to get back with you! Did you go to my place to corner me?"
"I’d be a pig-headed fool to trust you. If you’ve got the guts, just look back," the other person said indignantly, "I even remembered your birthday and bought you a gift, I’m such an idiot!"
Allen Zhang glanced in the rearview mirror and saw a white guy pedaling furiously on his bicycle, almost breaking the wheels and pedals, clutching a rose in one hand while giving the Jeep the finger.
He couldn’t help but laugh and turned his head to tease, "Seems like your almost-boyfriend is quite concerned. Do you want to get out and explain things to him first?"
