On the way home, Shen Wenru asked Shen Tianxing, "Xiaoxing, with Zixi’s grandparents coming over, what preparations should we make?"
Shen Tianxing smiled and replied, "You guys don’t have to prepare anything. Once I get home, I’ll make some food and drinks suitable for the elders, and mom can just use those to entertain them."
Shen Wenru laughed, "That’s great, with you taking care of things, your mom and I can relax. Ah, just thinking about you being taken away by that cheeky boy, your mom and I haven’t slept well these past few days, feeling quite uneasy."
Shen Tianxing understood her parents’ feelings of not wanting to let their daughter become someone else’s child, so she cooed to Shen Wenru, "Dad, no matter where I go, I’ll always be your daughter. Besides, Zixi and I have only just started dating. There’s still a long time before our relationship is confirmed and even longer till I get married. You and mom are worrying too soon!"
