Morrison hadn’t expected her to get that mad and storm off like that.
He quickly got out of the car to chase after her, but the girl had already vanished into the elevator. She didn’t even want her phone back, leaving Morrison standing there, completely dumbfounded.
She’s got quite the temper, huh...
Both of them returned to their respective offices.
Since she was late, Lilian felt embarrassed and immediately went to apologize to her manager.
She’d been working at MOS Corp. for a while now and was almost never late. But today, thanks to Morrison, she ended up running behind schedule. And just thinking about how he snatched her phone earlier made her even more furious.
Meanwhile, Morrison finally arrived at the top floor. Sean rushed up to greet him the moment he stepped out of the elevator.
"Boss, you’re finally here!"
He immediately began reporting, "The video conference that was scheduled for 8:40 had to be pushed back again and again. I’ve run out of excuses!"
"I got it," Morrison said, striding toward his office. "Where’s Norton?"
Sean looked equally frustrated. "He didn’t show up either."
Both of them had been late this morning, leaving Sean running around alone, sweating bullets to keep things afloat.
