Dating the Bossy CEO Next Door

Chapter 47- obey

After burying herself in work for a while, Lilian suddenly heard a knock on the office door. She didn’t pay much attention, assuming it was someone from another department coming to handle business with finance.

Her desk was at the edge of the finance department, and she had her back to the door—so she couldn’t see who had come in.

She only caught the sharp intake of breath from a few colleagues behind her, then the hurried sound of chairs being pushed back, and finally someone exclaimed,

"Boss is here!"

Immediately, the entire finance team turned in surprise to face the man who had just entered with a serious expression. Some employees even respectfully stood to welcome him.

The man seemed to carry a natural aura of authority, and wherever he went, admiration followed like a shadow. Lilian had only learned from her colleagues at MOS Corp. that although Morrison gave off a carefree, rebellious vibe in daily life, he was a mastermind when it came to running MOS Corp.

Decisive and sharp-minded, any project he favored inevitably turned a huge profit. Under his leadership, MOS Corp. had never suffered a loss, with its performance climbing year after year. Naturally, the staff revered and respected him—even though he was younger than many of the senior employees.

Lilian was one of those shocked by his presence—no, more accurately, she was the most terrified.

She jumped up from her seat, heart pounding, and turned to look fearfully at the man who had just walked into the finance department. Her mind immediately flashed back to the call she had abruptly ended earlier and the threat she imagined him making—coming personally to "catch" her.

Her heart clenched painfully.

If he exposed their relationship in front of everyone, she’d never be able to survive at MOS Corp. The female employees, all of whom adored Morrison, would swarm her like a tidal wave of spit and whispers. Since she’d been hiding her true identity at MOS Corp., she’d noticed just how many female coworkers were Morrison’s fans—some even fangirling over Norton or Sean, but nowhere near his level.

Then again, she reminded herself, they weren’t involved anymore. What was there to fear if he exposed them?
