Chapter 301: Can’t Deny the Truth
Miguel hurriedly went to the hospital after hearing about Kimmy passing out at the airport. He was worried about his granddaughter so he set aside his meeting just to see her.
But who would have thought he would witness his daughter, Lanny kissing a man inside the ward?
’How could she do that? And where was Kimmy?’ Miguel pondered to himself while clenching his fists.
"What is the meaning of this?" Miguel’s stern voice echoed in the ward.
Lanny and Enzo immediately broke the kiss and hastily turned in the direction of that voice. Lanny gasped in surprise upon seeing her father.
’Damn! We got caught. Why is he here? Oh gosh, my father looks so mad.’ Lanny bit her lower lip, her heart beating so hard from anxiousness.
"D-Dad... let me explain," Lanny said in her trembling voice. She distanced herself from Enzo.
However, Enzo grabbed her hand, holding her tightly. He even pulled Lanny close to him as he faced Miguel with confidence.
"Mr. Miguel Ivankov, I’m Enzo Williams, Lanny’s boyfriend–"
"Shut up! I’m not talking to you. You are just a stranger to me! Don’t waste my time!" Miguel cut him off immediately.
"Where is my granddaughter?" Miguel looked around, searching for Kimmy. But there was no sign of her inside the ward.
"Dad, I–" Lanny didn’t know what to say. Enzo suddenly introduced himself as her boyfriend. However, Miguel didn’t look interested at all.
