Alfonso Williams called for an emergency meeting. The company’s stocks fluctuated the moment Dominique’s scandal broke on the internet.
The other shareholders expressed their concerns on the matter.
"Where is Dominique Smith? Why is he not here? He needs to explain to us and take responsibility for his actions!" One major shareholder expressed his disappointment toward Dominique.
Alfonso Williams rejoiced inwardly. Dominique was facing a calamity and he was in trouble. This was the right time to take a move.
"Calm down. We still need to verify the information. For now, we have to do something to lessen our losses." Alfonso tried to mediate, pretending to be calm.
In fact, he had already devised a scheme to overthrow Dominique and strip him of the chairmanship. Alfonso planned to reclaim the company by acquiring the majority of the stocks.
He found an ally who joined forces with him. With the help of this powerful man, he could finally overthrow Dominique. The man promised to give him the sole management of the company and he would sell the shares to him.
Furthermore, through the information given by his ally, he found something interesting.
"I have something to share with you today. It’s about Dominique’s current shares. I’ve heard that he has already sold thirty percent of his shares to someone. He is no longer the largest shareholder of this company." Alfonso revealed to them.
"Therefore, I propose the removal of Dominique Smith from the company’s management decision-making body!" he added.
Although Alfonso was the current Chairman of the company, the major decision still came from Dominique. He had the final say in everything. Alfonso was just a Chairman in the title.
