Chapter 255: I Love You
Athena took a deep breath before she entered the gate of the Golden Villa.
’I’m still wondering what his motive is for saving my brother. Is Dominique up to something?’
Athena didn’t want to admit it but part of her was feeling grateful knowing that Dominique rescued Enzo. Alice protected him all these years. And at the same time, Dominique didn’t file a case against Enzo for attempted murder.
When Athena reached the door, she saw Dominique in the living room. It looked like he fell asleep while waiting for her. His eyes were closed and his back rested on the chair.
She slowly approached him. She stopped for a moment, observing Dominique’s sleeping figure. Her gaze drifted to his leg, still wrapped in a cast. Her heart clenched when the memory of the accident popped up in her mind.
She cautiously sat down beside him. That was the time Dominique moved. As if he had sensed her presence, he slowly opened his eyes. His lips automatically curled up in a gentle smile when Athena’s beautiful face greeted his sight.
"Athena," he called her out softly. "You’re here." He couldn’t hide his happiness as he looked at her.
"Yes. I’m here. You should have slept in the bedroom." She pursed her lips, displeased after seeing him in that state.
"Are you alone?" Athena also frowned when she didn’t see any sign of helpers or maids.
"I let my subordinate go home so that we can have our privacy," Dominique responded before grabbing her hands. "I miss you."
Athena sighed helplessly.
"Don’t you miss me?" Dominique pouted his lips, feeling disappointed. Athena didn’t respond to him.
