’She is pregnant with his child.’ Those words kept replaying in Athena’s mind right now.
She didn’t know why but her heart was being squeezed as she felt suffocated.
"What are we going to do now? Things will not go according to your plan, Athena. You have to stay away from Dominique. Stop associating yourself with him. Just bring Aaron with you and leave the country." Gael expressed his concern.
Gael didn’t like the idea of Aaron being close to Dominique. He could tell that Aaron was so fond of him. What if Dominique gained Aaron’s affection? There was a possibility that Athena’s resolve might waver.
"No." Athena shook her head. "I can’t leave. I must finish what I started. I can’t give up my revenge now. I made so many sacrifices just to be here. I hope you understand me, Gael."
Gael heaved a deep sigh. He observed Athena for a long moment.
’Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Why does she look so sad? Don’t tell me she still has feelings for Dominique.’
Gael had this suspicion. He couldn’t help it. He knew that Athena had been spending a lot of time with Dominique lately. If there was one thing bothering him right now, then it would be Athena’s feelings toward Dominique.
’If she learns the truth that Dominique had nothing to do with the abortion, will her feelings for him return?’
"Don’t worry. I have to do this. And I still have plan B." Athena reassured him. "I’m going to ruin their marriage. I will reclaim our company. I’m almost there."
