Chapter 242: Accidental Discovery
Miguel Ivankov had been waiting for the updates from his men and Vladimir’s camp. He was in his study room, reading the information gathered by his men regarding Enzo Williams’ profile and background.
A cold glint flashed through his eyes upon seeing the report stating Enzo tried to kill Dominique five years ago. Enzo was the brother of Dominique’s ex-wife who committed suicide. But the suicide incident was hidden from the public.
’So Enzo Williams is a possible suspect since he has a motive to harm Dominique. Hmm, so it seems like many people are targeting him. How many enemies have you made, Dom?’
*Ring! Ring!*
Miguel was interrupted by the ringing sound of his phone. He picked it up and pressed the answer button upon confirming that it was a call from his right-hand man.
"So what’s the update? Have you found out anything significant?" Miguel asked his right-hand man in a serious tone.
"Master, the culprit who hit Mr. Smith is now being detained in Vladimir’s hideout. They managed to get a statement from him. And the real mastermind for the accident is Alfonso Williams, Enzo’s Uncle."
Miguel furrowed his eyebrows when he heard that. ’A family framing his own family?! This is so interesting.’
"What is the motive of Alfonso Williams to kill Dominique Smith? For what reason?" he probed.
"Currently, Mr. Smith is the major stockholder of the company previously owned by his father-in-law. The Williams Family seems like they want to reclaim the company, taking it away from Mr. Smith. Killing him must be the only way to get him out of the picture."
Miguel smirked slyly. "Greedy old man is on the move. I won’t let them touch Dominique again. They have to pass through me first."
His right-hand man noticed that Miguel’s protectiveness toward Dominique was on a different level.
