Chapter 219: Not A Threat
Athena noticed that Dominique had been observing her and Vladimir. She immediately captured Vladimir’s hand which was touching her face. Then she simply pulled his hand under the table.
Dominique looked away, shifting his gaze to his own plate. He could no longer taste the food after losing his appetite.
He had never imagined that it would hurt this much seeing Athena with another guy... a guy who cared for her, cherishing her like a precious jewel.
’This is the woman I took for granted... And now, someone is taking care of her, instead of me.’ Dominique smiled bitterly at that thought.
’I know she deserves someone better... I only give her pain and heartache. Will she be more happy to be with another guy?’
"Mr. Smith, how is the food? Isn’t it to your liking? These are Athena’s favorites." Vladimir’s voice snapped him out of his deep thoughts.
’He knows her favorite food as well.’ Dominique thought, forcing a smile.
"I like them," he simply replied.
It did not take long before Dominique stood up. "I think I shouldn’t stay long. I’m sorry for disturbing you both. I have to go back to the office now. Miss Athena, I’ll set a proper appointment with you soon."
Then Dominique extended his right hand to Vladimir. "I’m also looking forward to our business collaboration, Mr. V. It’s nice seeing you again."
Vladimir shook his hand and nodded. "Same here. I hope you can start working on this project as soon as possible."
"Let me send you off." Vladimir volunteered, guiding Dominique out of the house.
