Chapter 214: Late Night Phone Call
Melody was shocked beyond belief. Her voice was captured in the recordings. And she revealed the truth in her drunken state.
"No way! You fabricated that. That’s not me! Don’t lie to me, Oliver! You are so wicked! You are making yourself a victim now. How shameless!" Melody continued to deny it.
Oliver could only shake his head helplessly. He had expected this already. Melody wouldn’t easily admit it.
"You don’t believe me. Then you have to see it with your own eyes."
Oliver took the remote control of the flat-screen TV. He turned it on and showed her a video.
Melody gasped, covering her mouth, her eyes wide in shock.
In the footage, she saw her drunken self in an unknown place.
’Where the hell is that?’
She was in a closed room. She was not familiar with the surroundings. She didn’t remember going to that place. But she recognized her clothes. Those were her clothes when she attended a party hosted by her friend. She got totally wasted at that time.
Melody was clueless that Lanny’s men took her out of her friend’s apartment and brought her to some place where they could record this video.
The voice in the background kept asking her questions. Surprisingly, she was giving them the answers they wanted, confessing everything she did to Oliver. Lanny’s men used a drug called ’Truth Serum’.
