Alfonso summoned his daughter to his study.
Melody stood in front of her father, her fingers fidgeting. She couldn’t look straight into Alfonso’s eyes. She could sense his chilly aura emanating from him.
"You have to clean up your mess!" Alfonso snarled at Melody, slamming the document to his desk.
Melody jolted in fright, her body shaking from her father’s anger.
"The Jones Family didn’t want to continue the marriage between you and Oliver. Oliver made this decision himself and his family agreed! You ruined my multibillion partnership with the Jones Family!"
CRASH!
Alfonso threw the glass of whiskey at the wall, shattering it into pieces.
Melody wanted to cry and run away but she was frozen in her spot.
"I-I’m s-sorry, Dad," Melody stuttered from too much nervousness and fright.
"You have to do something! Seduce Oliver. Sleep with him! Blackmail him if that’s the only way for this union to happen!" Alfonso’s voice was laced with desperation and urgency.
His eyes were wild, and his hands trembled as he paced back and forth. Alfonso needed the Jones family alliance to solidify his power and influence. His mind was racing with schemes to reclaim the company and oust Dominique as the major shareholder. The stakes were high, and failure was not an option.
