Chapter 177: Seeking A Friend’s Comfort
[ At Melissa’s Penthouse... ]
Melissa sliced through the crystal-clear water of her penthouse pool. She was on her day off today not accepting any consultation.
She reached the edge of the pool and flipped, ready for another lap when she heard the penthouse door open.
She glanced up to see Sasha standing hesitantly by the poolside, her expression a mix of frustration and despair.
After work, Sasha dropped by Melissa’s place. She needed a friend to talk to. And only Doc Melissa was available to entertain all her rants.
Melissa slowed her pace and eventually stopped, rising from the water. Droplets cascaded down her toned body as she climbed the steps out of the pool, grabbing a towel from the nearby lounge chair.
"Sasha, what’s wrong?" Melissa asked, wrapping the towel around herself and walking over to her friend.
The concern in her voice was genuine, noticing Sasha’s troubled look.
Sasha sighed deeply, running a hand through her hair. "It’s Dominique," she began, her voice shaky. "I can feel it. He started avoiding me again. He didn’t go home last night. He said he had business to do. But according to his secretary, he left the office early together with a child."
"It’s like he’s hiding something from me. I don’t know what to do." She complained.
Melissa guided Sasha to a couple of lounge chairs, gesturing for her to sit. She settled next to her, giving her full attention.
"I thought both of you had reconciled. Haven’t you tried getting intimate with him for the past few days?"
