Chapter 174: Stepdad or Adopted Dad?
Enzo was at a loss for words. This little girl truly reminded him of Lanny. Their feisty characters were very similar to each other. Kimmy was as bold and aggressive as Lanny.
’Damn. Why am I thinking about her even at times like this.’ Enzo scratched his head and smiled sheepishly.
He was there to buy clothes for both Alice and him. He planned on bringing Alice to a cozy restaurant for their dinner date tonight. He had already applied for a one-day leave from work. Fortunately, his manager from Goddess Elixir Cafe approved his leave of absence today so he had time to go shopping.
"Mr. Enzo? Did I say something wrong? Have I offended you?"
Kimmy’s voice snapped him out of his deep stupor.
"Oh. I’m sorry Kimmy. I zoned out earlier. You shocked me with your offer." He chuckled warmly.
Kimmy pouted her lips and frowned. "Were you thinking of someone else?"
Enzo nodded. "Yes. A friend of mine. You remind me of her. Your attitude is quite similar to hers. Even your eyes, your hair, and the shape of your face."
"Oh," Kimmy gasped. "That person might be my Mom." She giggled.
Enzo was taken aback once again, blinking in amusement. Then Kimmy spoke again.
"I look similar to my Mom. She’s so beautiful. But I am more charming than her." Kimmy shamelessly boasted.
Enzo couldn’t stop himself from laughing. Kimmy’s cheerful attitude brightened his day. "I would love to meet your mother someday."
