Chapter 149: Conceited Guy
"My wife," he said, a hint of humor in his tone.
"Oh. What time is she arriving?" Lanny decided to entertain this stranger since she was bored sitting there alone.
"I don’t know. I was supposed to message her but my phone went down. And now, I’m stuck here. But I’m glad I’m not alone." The guy replied, letting out a soft chuckle.
"You’ve been here for two hours while I’ve been here for one and a half. Should we just go home?" Lanny asked him hypothetically.
"I can’t leave. I don’t want my wife to get mad if she won’t see me here."
"Hmmm. What a loyal man. Fine. Just wait for her. As for me, if that guy won’t show up in an hour, I’m going to leave!"
Lanny took a deep sigh and just leaned her back on the wall, her eyes still glued on the arrival gate.
The man, on the other hand, was watching her in amusement. He couldn’t help but smile as he gazed at her annoyed expression. She still looked pretty even in her grumpy mood.
"Don’t worry. I’ll keep you company here while waiting so you won’t feel bored." He didn’t sound like someone who had an ill motive. It was just his natural friendly behavior.
"Thanks... but it’s fine. Just don’t mind me."
Lanny didn’t accept his offer. It felt so weird to allow a stranger to do that to her. Furthermore, she noticed something about this guy. He looked a bit suspicious because of his cap and his mask.
"Hey. How could your wife recognize you if you were hiding behind that black mask and your cap? You should remove it so that she can see you right away," Lanny suggested.
