Chapter 100: Challenge
Dominique cast a sorrowful gaze at the wedding portrait. "Becoming my woman?"
Athena was rendered speechless for a moment. Dominique was giving her one shock after another.
’Is he serious?’ Athena stared at him, assessing his facial expression.
’My prey is taking my bait. But I have to make sure that he is serious about this.’ Athena smiled inwardly. This was what she needed– the opportunity to get closer to him.
She didn’t expect that Dominique would bring this up today. The last time she talked to him, she saw the hesitation in his eyes. But now, all she could see was desperation.
’What triggered him to reconsider my offer? Is it because he and Sasha are still having an argument? I must seize this opportunity.’
"Yes, of course. My proposal is still valid. Are you willing to accept it now?" Athena asked him expectantly, her heart racing with anticipation.
Dominique turned to look at her, having conflicting thoughts right now. He had some reasons why he reconsidered her offer.
First, he could see Sabrina in her because of their similar voices. In her presence, his longing for Sabrina was slipping away, overshadowed by the warmth and companionship he found with Athena.
Second, Athena was the only woman who could make him hard, giving him arousal. She awakened his desire. She was like a cure for his unique condition.
Third, he just wanted to rebel against Sasha. He still couldn’t forgive her for what she had done in the past. This was some kind of punishment for her.
He wanted to fool around with someone else to seek solace in temporary distractions and alleviate his lingering resentment towards Sasha.
