Chapter 82: Honeymoon
After his confrontation with Sasha, Dominique left the Smith Mansion. He couldn’t bear to see Sasha after what she had done. He couldn’t forgive her for her betrayal and deception.
His longing for Sabrina intensified further. He just hoped that she was still alive together with their child.
Having conflicting emotions, Dominique just found himself standing on the same spot where he last saw Sabrina– the bridge where she jumped off five years ago.
Dominique sank to his knees, sitting on the ground with his back leaning on the concrete bridge railing. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes as he cradled his head in his hands, overwhelmed by his regret and longing.
"I miss her... Sabrina, please come back..." Dominique mumbled as he buried his face on his knees. He didn’t know how long he had stayed there. He lost track of time.
When he finally calmed down, Dominique stood up as he made his way to his car. At that moment, he only had one destination in mind– Athena’s place.
By the time Dominique arrived at Athena’s penthouse, it was already past ten in the evening. Standing outside, he pressed the doorbell repeatedly, but there was no response. The house seemed empty and Athena was not around.
Dominique decided to stay outside her gate. He squatted on the ground as he waited for her to arrive. But little did he know, Athena wouldn’t return home tonight. She was with Gael, spending the night with him.
Enduring the coldness of the night, Dominique remained on his spot patiently. The only person who could remind him of Sabrina was Athena so he chose to see her. He wanted to hear her voice and catch a glimpse of her eyes which were very similar to Sabrina’s.
Lost in his thoughts, Dominique reminisced about his moment with Sabrina.
