Chapter 68: Date II
Athena and Vladimir enjoyed their dinner at Divine Dining Restaurant. They didn’t finish everything. But they made sure to take out some for Lanny.
"Athena, the V Club is a very noisy place. Do you prefer to go somewhere else?" Vladimir consulted her.
"Hmm. I’m fine with it. Let’s drop by your club. I’m eager to check the place out. But we will not stay there long. Maybe we can have a few drinks?" Athena suggested.
"Okay, let’s do that." Vladimir reluctantly responded. He just didn’t want Athena to be exposed there. There were lots of men in the V Club. Her beauty would definitely attract men’s attention.
"Yey! Let’s go!" Athena exclaimed excitedly.
Vladimir could only smile helplessly. He couldn’t refuse her. She’s the Boss!
Twenty minutes later, Vladimir and Athena reached the V Club.
As Vladimir entered the club, his subordinate, Brandon couldn’t help but notice the stunning woman standing next to his Boss. It was a rare sight to see their usually reserved and aloof boss with a woman, let alone being so attentive to her.
Brandon watched Vladimir as he gently guided Athena inside with so much care. Their boss had always maintained a distance from women, never showing any particular interest in them. This was the first time he saw Vladimir gaze at someone with affectionate eyes.
Brandon blinked and rubbed his eyes, thinking he was just seeing things. "Oh! Am I dreaming?! Our Indifferent Boss is smiling at someone with his softened expression."
Whispers rippled through the club as Vladimir and Athena made their way through the crowd, heads turning to catch a glimpse of the unexpected pair.
Brandon exchanged incredulous glances with his colleagues, all of them equally surprised by their boss’s sudden change in behavior, his usual stoic demeanor replaced by a warmth and charm that they had never seen before.
