Chapter 51: Throuple
Enzo continued sharing his story with them. For some unknown reason, he trusted his visitors and he felt at ease in their presence.
"After waking up from my coma state, with no recollection of my past memories, I had to undergo physical therapy for me to be able to walk again. It took me one year to recover completely." Enzo smiled, recalling how he struggled in the past.
"Alice supported me both financially and emotionally. She became my light in the darkest moment of my life." His love for Alice was reflected in his eyes.
At that certain moment, Lanny made up her mind. ’It looks like Enzo is living happily on this island together with his girlfriend. I can’t tell him about Kimmy. And I know Athena doesn’t want to involve her brother in her revenge plan, especially now that he has amnesia.’
"Thank you for sharing your heartwarming story with us, Enzo. We are glad to know you are in good hands. You might have forgotten your memories but the most important thing is that you are alive," Lanny spoke up, smiling faintly. She didn’t want to hear any more stories about Alice and him.
Enzo nodded, meeting Lanny’s gaze. "You and Athena are my friends, so can we keep in touch? Maybe... you can help me regain my forgotten memories. If there is a chance, I want to go visit the place where I originally came from." He found a new motivation to recover his memory. He wanted to remember his moments with his family and friends including Athena and Lanny.
Athena and Lanny looked at each other once again before agreeing to Enzo.
"Of course, we can do that. We will give you our phone numbers. Feel free to contact us anytime." Athena took out her phone and showed Enzo their phone numbers. He eagerly saved their contact details on his own phone.
"I don’t know how you found me, but I’m so glad to meet my friends. By the way, how long are you going to stay here in Fortuna Grande? We are celebrating our Lantern Festival. I can tour you around the island." Enzo volunteered with enthusiasm. He wanted to spend more time with them.
But Lanny immediately declined his offer. "I’m sorry, Enzo, but we can’t stay here for long. We are also going back today."
