Chapter 36: Rage
[ At Starlight Group: CEO’s Office... ]
Dominique was spacing out in his office. He had been staring at his laptop with a blank expression on his face. His mind couldn’t stop thinking about his short encounter with Athena in the Happy Store.
’My body is reacting to her touch. I can’t help it. The familiarity of her scent... her eyes, her lips, and her mannerisms make me helpless against her. I am being drawn to her... unexpectedly.’ Dominique admitted to himself.
His fingers subconsciously touched his lips, tracing them as he reminisced about the kiss he shared with Athena. ’That familiar feeling... brings Sabrina back to life. I can’t fight it. I can’t stop myself from craving for more.’
His mind warned him to stay away from Athena, but his heart was telling him the other way around.
"I don’t think this is just a pure coincidence," Dominique mumbled. "I have to mobilize my team and investigate her."
Relying on his gut feeling, he contacted Levi, the team leader of his private armed group. This group was known as Dark Rangers, operating under Dominique’s command.
"Sir?" Captain Levi was surprised to receive a sudden call from their Boss. This could be categorized as an urgent matter!
"Levi, I want you to investigate someone for me. Gather all necessary information about this woman, Athena. She’s from Country M and she is a singer celebrity, a global Ye-tube sensation."
"Oh, O-Okay, sir. I got it!" Levi was puzzled after receiving this unusual order.
’Is our Boss an avid fan of the Masked Songstress, Athena, that’s why he wants to unveil her identity?’
Levi was familiar with Athena because the majority of their members were also her fans. He even caught them watching her live on Ye-tube during one of their surveillance missions. He scolded them big time and forbade them to use mobile phones during missions.
