~Rhiannon’s POV~
Hot tears blurred my vision as my life with my father flashed before my eyes.
And now, even after selling myself just to have him home with me, he was gone.
Guilt gnawed at my insides. Guilt at the fact that if I had left him alone, he would have been alive still, but no.
I had brought him here—to the Lion’s den, to his killers.
The more I thought, the more pain I was in and the harder it was to grasp that the only lying family I had left was... gone.
Something inside me snapped.
"No!" I shrieked. "You killed him. You fucking killed him!!"
The air around me pulsed. My scream twisted into a guttural, wild growl.
The chandelier above cracked with a sharp pop, and wind swirled in the room though no windows were open. Hot, radiant, uncontrolled light surged around me.
