Chapter 20: What It Means to Be Wanted
He could feel the subtle desire through Shiao Yi’s tight underwear, and that filled him with a quiet sense of joy.
Even though Shiao Yi was a man, that didn’t matter to him at all. In this country, relationships between men weren’t uncommon—especially in the military, where men lived and worked together constantly. It wasn’t something strange. More than anything, Shiao Yi was his one and only, his irreplaceable person. So why should he feel hesitation?
"...Dominic..." Shiao Yi’s voice was hoarse, almost a whisper.
Dominic lifted his head and looked into Shiao Yi’s eyes.
Shiao Yi’s eyes were shining, his cheeks slightly flushed—but his expression was strangely calm. That sudden contrast sent a chill through Dominic’s chest.
"Dominic, do you want my body?" Shiao Yi asked, his voice steady despite everything. "You saved my life. If that’s what you want, I’ll give it to you. As a thank-you for saving me. My life for yours."
"Shiao...?"
"I’m not good at this kind of thing," Shiao Yi continued quietly. "Back in my old world, I was ordered to do it before—by someone higher up. I didn’t want to, but I couldn’t say no. They always yelled at me afterward, said I was no fun. It never felt good. I don’t think I can do it properly. But if you still want me, go ahead."
Dominic felt something cold spread through his chest, like ice creeping into his heart.
What... was Shiao Yi saying?
Was he really offering his body in return for being saved? Had someone already forced themselves on him before?
