Chapter 156
Nathan was taken aback by Zane Eastwood’s overfamiliarity, as if they had known each other for years. That made him very uncomfortable, as Nathan preferred to stay under the radar and live a normal life.
So he got guarded instantly. "Why do you want to meet her, Mr. Eastwood?"
Zane maintained his smile as he looked down at the boy, who was only a few centimeters taller than Madeline. "Don’t call me Mr. Eastwood. Zane is fine."
"But we’re not familiar with each other..."
"Well, we will be family in the future, right?" Zane said. "Do you not have a phone? I’m your sister’s boyfriend. It’s been trending since yesterday."
Of course, Nathan knew about it.
He also watched that video of Madeline and Zane kissing at the production set. But Nathan grew up with Madeline, and his gut feeling told him that she disliked that kiss.
"My sister has left for work," Nathan replied shortly.
"So soon?" Zane raised his brow. He remembered that Madeline’s earliest schedule would be at nine, which was about one and a half hours from now.
’Does she already know that I’m coming to her house? Is she trying to avoid me?’ Zane’s mind began popping questions about Madeline’s intention.
He knew that she was reluctant, but he already insisted on this, wanting Madeline to at least recognize their relationship on and off camera so they could cultivate good feelings between them.
"If you have nothing else to do, please leave now, Mr. Eastwood. I’m going to school," Nathan said defensively, not knowing what kind of threat this man carried.
