Lance gnashed his teeth as he knew this would make another round to turn back to that bastard Zane Eastwood all over again.
No matter how often they talked about it, Madeline kept asking about Zane.
And no matter how often she told him she wasn’t in love with Zane, her actions spoke otherwise.
"Do you love him that much? Why do we keep talking about this scum?"
"He’s not a scum, and I’m not in love with him. How many times do I have to tell you that?" Madeline said, frowning. "He’s my friend, and I want to apologize properly. After all, my ’boyfriend’ hurt him when he had been nothing but nice to me."
"He doesn’t need that apology. He literally choked you, don’t you remember?" Lance stated. "I just saved you from that man. He’s trying to kill you."
"That’s because you provoked him with your sudden appearance at the filming set," Madeline said. "I just can’t rest until I properly apologize. He is the man who saved me from a lifetime of embarrassment."
"I can tell Valerie to cut any embarrassing part in the reality show before it airs."
"Oh, we both know you won’t do that. Let’s just be honest. Everything is just business for you," Madeline giggled. "Besides, Zane and I worked together in a musical drama when we were ten. I just want to reconnect."

Lance’s good mood vanished instantly, replaced with frustration because Madeline kept mentioning that good-for-nothing bastard.
But if he was quick to say no, they might return to their screaming match again. So he reluctantly said, "I have a contact with his agency. I’ll try to get his number for you later."
