"But you looked so angry when Tia announced the winner. I thought you were angry at me," Jasmin said. "Look, I see you as my friend. I don’t mind giving all of the prize money I got if that will make you feel better."
Madeline looked over her shoulder and smiled at Jasmin, "I was just acting. I’m actually very happy about your win, Jasmin. Besides, didn’t I tell you I have a rich boyfriend?"
"Mr. Lancelot Grant?"
"Yeah, I guess..." Madeline’s smile dissipated. "Anyway, I was just adding drama for the last episode. But I’m more than happy for you. You told me that you want to restart your rap career, right? Use that money wisely for it."
"Thank you so much, Madeline..." Jasmin muttered. She grabbed their phones, which the staff had just returned, and said, "Please give me your phone number. I don’t want to lose contact with you."
Madeline turned on her phone, and she first noticed the dozens of texts from Lance.
She checked the date and realized it was all sent by Lance when he was drunk the day after the first game.
