Madeline fiddled with her fingers nervously. She waited for Zane to show some reaction because all he did was marvel at her like she was a Greek statue.
Zane clicked his tongue in awe, "You look far more innocent than I thought. You don’t look like Madeline Rose on TV at all."
"Well, it’s a character I am playing to earn money," Madeline said. "That character is not me and will never be me."
"So all the boyfriends you mentioned on TV are also lies?"
"Yes..." Madeline nodded weakly. She felt very exposed right now, and it was very uncomfortable.
Surprisingly, Zane was far more blunt than Lance regarding his questions. She had a guess that Lance must’ve known about her true self without her confirming everything. After all, he did a bit of investigation about her.

Zane got up from the sofa and said, "Go and change into your bathrobe and swimwear in the wardrobe. I will prepare the jacuzzi. I’ll make sure the bubble is thick enough for both of us."
