Chapter 392: Thanksgiving Day (Part III)
Like a majestic lion, Leon stood with his back straight. Viviana took a step back.
"Who do you think she is, huh?" Leon spoke to Manny, gritting his teeth. "Do you have any idea how much she suffered to bring you to this world? Ingrate! How easily you call her names!" he gritted his teeth.
He raised his arm once more and Manny stumbled back and ended up on his butt.
Viviana could see that Leon was trying to scare Manny off. He didn’t look like he was going to hit Manny again. She didn’t want to interfere when he was disciplining their son. She didn’t mind her son calling her names but she didn’t want him to continue this behavior with others. Leon must think the same too. They didn’t want to raise disrespectful brats.
"I’ll carve your name on a headstone the next time you think of being disrespectful to my woman!" Leon roared.
Manny nodded. He was right. This man in front of him was not his father. He was his mother’s husband.
He did learn many useful lessons that day. His old man might not be a simple wealthy producer. He must have seen a lot. Also, he should be careful around his mother. She’s not just his mother, she’s his old man’s wife. He shouldn’t have forgotten how protective his old man was of his wife. He also learned to be protective of the woman he chooses to marry. Maybe this is what a good marriage is.
While Manny got his worldview corrected with a single punch from his father, Viviana sighed. She thought her husband was disciplining their son for teaching him to be a better person, but he ended up doing it for her.
It has become his habit. He values her above everyone else. Even more than their kids.
Viviana looked around. Everyone was looking at Leon with bewilderment. They saw him snap after many years, after all. The kids were all staring with shock fearing they might get hit next. Ziya who came down just then saw her brother on the ground with bleeding lips and helped him up. She couldn’t believe the look on her father’s face either.
