Chapter 341: Leon Michaels
Leonardo reached Vito only to see Ferdinand Arment on his father’s feet. "Help me find who that is, Don," Ferdinand kissed Vito’s feet. "I’m a dead man walking and I will die after killing the vermin who ruined me."
Vito looked at the bald head of Ferdinand and stared at him for a minute letting him kiss his feet. Leonardo had a feeling that his father wanted Ferdinand dead. He put his hands on his gun waiting for his father’s order.
"Leonardo, send our people to salvage every possible gold," Vito said looking up. "And collect every detail you can find about the explosion. Don’t let the cops near."
"Yes, Dad," Leonardo nodded and walked away.
He had a lot of questions. His father was under the impression that Leander Kastello might do something to that ship. And now, the ship has exploded. If his father asks him to pretend, he didn’t know, who did it, then it means that his father still suspects that Leander was behind it.
He is trying to protect Minerva.
By taking up this job, his father is taking control of the narrative. It’s like giving the keys to the locker to the thief. In the end, whoever his father points at would be the culprit, not Leander, if he was the one behind it.
He will do what his father says. His father will deal with this the best way he can. He too wanted to know if Leande indeed was the person behind this.
He also wanted to know what Leander’s plans were. To touch the untouchable gold is the goal of many robbers. But what was he doing by just blowing it all up? It’s such a waste.
Leonardo ordered his men to do what his father asked him to do. Ignazio went with the men and so Leonardo was relaxed.
As she was about to return back to the party hall, he got a call from his dad. "Make sure to check the camera footage in our compound," he said. "That guy might come for Ferdinand next."
Leonardo wondered what that was about.
