Chapter 321: His Suggestion
Viviana leaned on his chest comfortably. Leander kissed her head bringing a smile to her face.
"He is my father. But he’s not just that. He’s the head of the Vitale family and you’re the heir of the Kastello family. I am your wife. I didn’t know whether he came in peace. I can’t seem too eager. And..."
"Were you planning on fighting him with your dogs, if the meeting went wrong?" Leander interrupted her with a laugh.
"Are you making fun of me?" she pinched his chest.
"I am," Leander held her hand that pinched him and kissed it. He was still laughing. "I make everything. I make fun, I make love..." he bit her ear.
Viviana rolled her eyes. Although he was laughing, she could feel his hold on her tightening. His heart was beating faster again after it had calmed down. He was moved, she could say.
Well, he is her top priority. She wouldn’t mind losing her connection with Vito if he threatened Leander in any way. That was the reason she didn’t introduce her dogs to Vito. Her dogs will see Vito as a stranger until she was sure Vito is not against Leander.
She didn’t doubt him now. He seemed genuine. But he might not care about Leander as much as he cared for her. She could see that the men didn’t get along fabulously.
They are men and maybe they bond differently. But until she gained confidence that Vito is not a danger to Leander she decided to keep the dogs away.
She would have kept the baby away too but she had a feeling Vito knew the truth. That’s why she brought the baby to him. She thought he would pity her for raising another woman’s child but when he didn’t, her doubts got confirmed. He told her the truth.
Thinking about her father, her heart filled with joy. She felt his love when he was with her and even thinking of their interaction, she could still feel the love.
"Are you sure it’s not the Vitale family helping the commission, Leander?" Viviana asked.
