Chapter 244: The Surgery
She didn’t know what to do when she was there, watching it happen. Especially when she can feel Leander’s hurt. She was in no mood for celebration.
Leander closed his eyes. He couldn’t see her face either. He did not want to see her face. Because if he even saw a splash of happiness on her face, it would ruin him.
He still loves his family and he felt guilty about his decision.
But she sounded somber.
"You want me to have kids?" he asked. She contradicts herself at times and he doesn’t understand her.
Viviana nodded. She wanted to have his children. But it’s only a pipe dream for her. Still, she wanted him to have children of his own. Maybe that’s her love for him that desires that happiness for him.
"Why?" he asked.
"Don’t you want to have your dining table filled with your offspring? Don’t you want a toddler running to you calling "daddy" in glee? Why do you not want that?" she asked. How can any man not want that?
Leander let out a deep breath. "It’s only for a short time. Toddlers grow into adults and then...If I want a welcome party when I get home I can get dogs, not children."
He couldn’t see any positives of having grown children. Maybe it’s the guilt he feels toward his grandfather. His grandfather loves him and he is not giving him what he wants. Won’t his child do the same to him? Won’t his heart break, then?
"What will you do if some woman says that she’s pregnant with your baby?" Viviana asked.
They are only married for some months. She didn’t think that there was no other woman in his life.
