Chapter 206: The Princess
Steve and the driver stood leaning on the bonnet of the car. They both cleared their throats and stood straight as the car shook.
"I thought Capo does not like smoking," Luca asked. "I heard he fired the last chauffeur because he saw him smoking off-time."
Steve shrugged. "He’s a married man now."
Even if he is the king himself, once he gets married, he will have to change to accommodate his wife. That’s pretty much the rule for every man. Their Capo can’t be the exception.
Luca chuckled and leaned toward Steve with a cheeky smile. "I never thought that the partition would go up when he’s with a woman... It would have been such a shame to not use that feature..."
Steve shrugged. He can only give the same answer. "He’s married now."
"Good for him," Luca nodded heartily. "He needs someone like Signora..."
Steve observed Luca. "You like her," he said, although Luca looked like he would build a shrine for Signora and worship her.
Luca smiled agreeing with Steve. "The other day my son came to Orchid Gardens after school because his mother was not home. I asked him to stay in the garage~"
Steve interjected him. "But you cannot bring your kids to~"
Luca waved his hand. "Listen...But he had wandered off to the garden when Signora was there. I thought that I was finished. But, you see..." Luca’s eyes lit up with gratefulness. "Signora helped him with his homework and gave him sweets. My son keeps on talking about the "Princess" he met in the garden to the extent my wife’s getting jealous," Luca chuckled. "He says he loves the Princess more than he loves his mother and his teachers."
"Princess?" Steve quipped. He found that interesting.
