Chapter 171: Feeling Disrespected
Leander ran his tongue inside his mouth. Viviana gulped seeing him angry. She was beyond confused by what he asked.
He then sighed again looking pitifully at her. He also looked like he was praying to the Almighty for patience.
Now she was curious—why? What did she do?
"I heard everything," he said.
"Oh," Viviana nodded. That makes sense. "Oh?" she raised her voice as she realized that he knows that she lied.
"Why?" he asked again.
This time Viviana understood the question. "I thought that she might blame the maids and that’s why I took~"
"Why?" he asked interjecting her.
That, he can figure out. This one has a savior complex. She thinks of him as the devil incarnate and she’s the saint with the bleeding heart protecting the innocents from his claws. She can be the savior of all if she wants to. He won’t mind.
She is wrong for thinking that he will punish someone without knowing the whole story. But he can let it go. He’s not surprised by the fact that she looks at him through a colored lens.
It definitely hurt, but... It is what it is.
He wanted to know why she allowed his mother to go that far. For someone who could take the knife and hack someone, she acts pretty docile in situations that need assertiveness and when there was a need for the "savior" to step up.
