Chapter 162: Doing Something
Barnabas widened his eyes in shock. It’s not like Peter to kill his family, especially a woman who might be carrying the next generation of the family. But then he caught the fear in Peter’s eyes.
Barnabas calmed down. The don is right. They cannot go against the Vitale family. They are not that big a family and with the Palatini family constantly acting against them, they surely aren’t that safe even in their own country much less the world. And, they cannot allow their family to be shamed by allowing their family’s woman to be taken by the Vitale family.
Killing her would be the easiest option. If she’s anything clever as he thinks she is, she would agree too. It’s not something new. It’s happened for ages. Women in the keep were prepared to kill themselves with poison before getting captured by the enemy armies in case they lost the battle.
It’s logical. But...
"Leander won’t take it easy," Barnabas said. He already came up with plans to implement it without ruffling Leander’s feathers much. "Even if me make it seem like she was sick or... she killed herself successfully this time..."
Peter nodded pinching his glabella. "Let’s cross that bridge when it comes to it. And make that woman stay inside too. I don’t want her to be taken at her age," Peter snorted in disgust.
Barnabas sneered. Who would want to make a video of that woman? Heh!
"Ask Matthew to increase Leander’s allowance by ten million. Let him..." Peter cleared his throat. "Let him have a good time with his young wife on his birthday."
Barnabas nodded.
