Chapter 145: Everything
Viviana standing by the door of the store stared at the two small gift-wrapped packages in her hand. She saw the ring glittering in the sunlight and froze out of anxiousness. All the happiness she felt when she bought the gift had evaporated leaving her only with nervousness and shame.
It’s a problem with her. She’d rather not do something than failing at it. But at the same time, when she decides to do something, she won’t back off.
She wanted to buy a gift for him. And yet, why is she hesitating this much? Where is the shame coming from? Why does she want his approval so badly? Is this what it feels like to buy gift for a man for the first time?
Viviana couldn’t figure out this weird feeling of pain and pleasure that she lately feels around him.
"It’s the thought that matters."
Viviana looked at Steve with her brows raised. Steve never talks to her directly. She was surprised.
"Capo values the gesture more," he added.
Viviana nodded. Without knowing, all the nervousness she felt, flew away. With a skip to her step, Viviana walked to the car.
Steve followed her with a content heart. Actually, his boss does not value gifts by their price but by who gifts him. If it is someone, he likes he won’t care what sort of gift that was.
Usually, he receives very expensive and luxurious gifts and doesn’t mind them much. But he had a feeling that his boss would be happy even if the Signora spit on his face calling it a gift.
