Chapter 100: The Unwelcome Visitors
"Yes!" Viviana rubbed her hands. "Before I start..."
Viviana explained the names to Leander. For some reason Lionel didn’t mention the names of everyone. Maybe Leander is not the guy to care for details, but he needs to know the details if he wants to understand the story.
When she told him Leona’s name, she saw his pupils dilating. She didn’t know what emotions made him act that way. But she quickly glossed over that and introduced the Corleone family.
Leander rolled his eyes. He already knew where her story would go. For her, those who call themselves are evil incarnate in this world. They will only do bad things and somehow everything that went wrong in her life is their fault.
But he wanted to have a listen.
She is not wrong to think of people of his ilk to be wicked. They are. Just that, they don’t hide behind the mask of being humble and sympathetic. They just live life as who they are.
"Darcia closed the curtains not wanting to speak to Leona anymore. But she did not leave the window. The sky was getting dark and Darcia waited to see if Leona returns to her home. Otherwise, her mother will ground her again. But Leona didn’t move an inch for a long time. She~"
Viviana paused to Leander’s scoff. She looked at him and he turned away, still with that unimpressed look. Viviana sighed and continued on with her story as she knew he is not going to tell her why he scoffed.
Leander couldn’t help but feel pity for Leona. Guess, younger girls are stupid. Age is proportional to intelligence and maturity. The younger they are the more immature they will act.
Seriously, why should that Leona girl embarrass herself like this? She should have found something better to do—like watching paint dry.
