Chapter 30: Plan To Escape
Viviana didn’t waste time after she found a possible way to escape. She tried to open the bedroom door, but it was locked. She cannot get out of the room.
But then walking out of the house using the main door won’t be very plausible considering the security measures. She wanted to go through the path used by the woman she saw earlier. It was largely unfettered, and she can find a way to climb the fence from there. She saw a lot of tall trees and she can climb her way out.
She checked the floor-to-ceiling window. Breaking a window would cause a ruckus and she opted to leave it as a last resort. She placed her hand over the glass to check the glass. She found that the glass was thicker than usual glasses.
It didn’t seem much when looked perpendicularly, but when she carefully observed the edges at an angle, it suddenly hit her.
It’s bullet-proof glass! Not just bullet-proof, it appeared that even a bazooka won’t affect the glass. She wanted to cry. The Kastello family is being too paranoid. Do they have nuclear bunkers too?
I’m screwed!
Viviana sighed.
Wait...
Viviana suddenly got an idea. Screw! "Screw" is the answer!
No matter how strong they’d built everything, they’d have screwed everything together, right... especially the windows? Unless they welded it shut...
Of course, the bedroom window was impenetrable. Viviana didn’t lose hope and ran to the bathroom. She hoped that they wouldn’t have protected the bathroom window that much. Her heart almost dropped seeing the iron grill behind the glass window. But she opened the window and took a closer look.
The grill was screwed to the wall. She did a happy dance. If it was tightened with screws, it could be loosened. And then she can slip out through the bathroom window. She was on the second floor. She could see some pipes and even if she slips, she can survive a jump from the second floor. And from that side, she can follow that woman’s path to the fence.
