"Ora. Nice name for a skinny boy." Vidor’s eyes washed over him once more before he voiced out the words that would leave Era’s heart thudding wildly in her chest.
"Raise your head let me get a look at your face."
Damian’s breathing hitched but he did not do anything or say anything. If he tries to deprive Vidor, it would only make the king become persistent. Now all their hope relied on someone else.
Regardless of his command, Eleora kept her face hidden. "I gave an order young one."
"My apologies, sire. He is a scared little boy and he does not like people looking at him."
"Not an excuse. I am king and my word stands." The more he spoke, the angrier Vidor was getting.
He usually had everyone at his beck and call. He hated it when he gave an order and it was defiled.
Sensing this, Era latched onto his hand, rubbing her breasts against him and whined a bit.
"Your majesty," she mentally gave herself a strike and proceeded. "I want to head back. I do not want to stay here further. Why bother with a kid and ruin your mood when I am here," she tried to persuade.
As much as he did not want to look at her not to quell his anger, he just could not. Just hearing her soft voice in his ears was like she was pressing his button.
