Liam turned away from him, hands still behind his back. He looked up at the darkening sky, a single pale star already visible through the canopy.
It was laughable.

He’d spent the last few weeks thinking the Order was a singular, unified force. A true enemy. Something precise. Clean.
Instead, it was a collection of clashing lunatics, each convinced their path was the right one.
