Chapter 26: Liam’s soul corruption
All that happened was a one sided beat down, as Mammon easily overpowered his fellow demon lords, showing off his superior strength.
He trashed them, both with his words and his actions, proclaiming about how all that existed in the universe was his to claim, and no one could stop him from claiming them.
But then, while he was busy boasting about how much power he was sure to gain after absorbing all their sins, a thin crack suddenly appeared on the orb.
The number of sins within it were too much for it to contain, and before the greedy demon lord could do anything, one particular sin managed to slip out of the orb.
[That sin that managed to break out... was the sin of lust.]
[From that point, I don’t really know what happened. All I could remember was Lord Asmodeus grabbing unto his sin, and then... he placed it inside me.]
The last thing she had seen was Mammon’s hand stabbing through Asmodeus’ chest, ripping out his demon core.
However, before then, the demon lord already helped her escape, sending the succubus into a portal that took her somewhere far away from Mammon’s reach.
[I heard he evolved into an ugly, fat pig after greedily absorbing the five other sins, and I’ve been on the run from him since then.]
Liam’s face squeezed into a frown at Lilith’s explanation, his lips opening and closing, but he couldn’t find the right words to say to her.
Even without her saying it, he could sense the deep sadness and pain in her voice.
