Chapter 139: Final match
As expected, Sophia’s team had a relatively easy victory. Their opponents weren’t weak, but they also didn’t stand a chance against a group made up of three students who could easily be ranked S.
In fact, Sophia herself already held that rank. Moreover, Carlos was only Rank A because he had dropped out of the test to help his lady, and Rowan had only failed the test because he faced Davi too early.
Just those three were enough to unbalance the fight, but, as expected, the rest of the blonde’s team was also excellent. Liza was an outstanding archer, surprisingly versatile and capable of adapting to different combat situations.
Ronald had defensive abilities second only to Alden’s, but he didn’t have any curses preventing him from attacking. That made his destructive power truly impressive.
Lastly, Rile was a formidable warrior and someone who particularly caught Davi’s attention as he watched Sophia’s group fighting.
The man wasn’t particularly strong, but he was extremely well-balanced between defense and offense.
Not to mention he was incredibly skilled. He could easily fight someone much stronger for hours without being defeated. And his specialty seemed to be endurance battles.
It would be a disaster if he managed to neutralize one of the strongest members of our group... Davi thought to himself.
"I want to fight him," Lara said the next moment, pointing at Rile, who stood confidently in the middle of the arena.
Davi was surprised by the sudden request, Lara never asked him for anything. "Why? Do you have something against him?"
"No, no, nothing like that," she was quick to explain. "He just looks strong, and I feel like fighting him will help me improve my skills. Besides, he never accepts duels during combat classes," she added, pouting.
