"As expected, the teams will be made up of six members. As long as they’re first-year students, anyone can participate," Alexia said after finishing reading the official announcement on Enki’s website.
At that moment, she was sitting at a round table, with Lara and Ember at her side. In front of her sat Luna, Alden, and Davi.
They had gathered to discuss how to form a team.
"It’s a shame, but I don’t think I’ll be able to help," Luna sighed, though it was something everyone already knew.
Obviously, the five of them had planned to team up for the tournament for some time. So, they just needed to think of a sixth member to invite.
They had only been waiting to confirm whether the teams would have six or seven members, since those rules changed from year to year.
Also, Davi had been hopeful they would release some information about the first phase, but they ended up with almost nothing.
The official announcement confirmed that the tournament would have three phases. But there weren’t many useful details they could use to make a decision.
In the first phase, all teams would be divided into four different arenas. Each arena would host seven teams.
Basically, the tournament would start with a battle royale, and any team that survived for five days would move on to the second phase and receive rewards.
The second phase was still undefined, but it would be a selection process, narrowing it down so that only one team per arena remained. Finally, as tradition dictated, the tournament would end with team battles. The four remaining teams would be randomly matched for a semifinal and then a final.
