Chapter 379: Yua’s A Vampire!

Chapter 379: Yua’s A Vampire!

Before his fractured mind could even begin to process the reality of her transformation, a bright, flashing gold interface forcefully materialized directly in his central field of vision, accompanied by a sharp, crisp audio chime from the system.

Kyle stared blankly at the floating text, the golden light reflecting off his pale, trembling face. The pieces of the puzzle were clicking together, but the picture they were forming was a nightmare darker than anything he had ever anticipated. Yua wasn’t just a prisoner on Kraken—she was actively transforming into the heart of the anomaly itself.

Kyle stood rooted in the center of the basalt cavern, a catastrophic crossroads of raw, bleeding emotions fracturing his mind.

*A vampire.*

The revelation hit him like a physical blade, twisting deep into his core. Instantly, an overwhelming wave of painful guilt and suffocating regret rushed up from his chest, nearly choking him. Images of their final, desperate moments on planet Vaanderwood flashed behind his eyelids. He remembered the absolute, terrifying pressure when Lucifer, the Demon King, had unexpectedly manifested before them. Kyle had been completely helpless, forced to watch his family shatter, his harem scattered across the unforgiving cosmos while he was thrown into this desperate quest for survival. He had sworn to reunite his harem, to grow stronger, to build his stats to an ungodly threshold so he could protect them from ever experiencing that terror again.

"Damn it!" Kyle suddenly roared, his voice bouncing off the cold stone walls.

Driven by pure, unadulterated frustration, he swung his fist outward. His raw Strength stat of 306 exploded into the solid basalt wall, the physical impact completely shattering a massive boulder into tiny, microscopic fragments of flying stone and dust. He absolutely hated how weak he was. He hated that no matter how fast his level scaled, he was always one step behind the tragedies catching up to the people he loved.

If Yua was now a vampire, a dark, clinical diagnosis forced its way into his thoughts. On Kraken, a planet completely dominated by Vladimir\’s necro-mechanics, a vampire could only mean one thing.

’She’s part of Vladimir’s blood puppets,’ Kyle thought, his teeth grinding together so hard they threatened to crack. He dug his fingers into his left palm, his knuckles turning white as his mind mapped out the worst-case scenario. Vladimir was using her. He had turned his wife into a mindless, blood-drinking thrall to build his apocalyptic army.

Sitting against the far wall of the cave, Elara flinched, taken back a bit by the explosive violence of his outburst. She clutched her wooden shard tightly, her sharp eyes mapping the erratic, dangerous fluctuations of his crimson aura. Sure, this demon had boldly claimed that Yua was part of his harem, but she hadn’t expected *this* level of pure, unbridled agony. This wasn’t the calculated anger of a high-tier lord; this was a deep, consuming attraction to someone that transcended baseline logic.

*Lucky bastard,* Elara thought, clicking her tongue softly as she watched him breathe heavily in the dim light.

But as she stared at the back of Kyle’s broad, tensed shoulders, a sudden, sharp pain flared behind her own temples. Her pupils dilated as a completely foreign piece of memory—a scene she didn’t explicitly remember living—flashed vividly across her consciousness.
