Trailing behind Reze, Kyle guard was up now than ever. It was one thing to consider higher beings were interested in him, but now he had to worry about the more potential threat present. Which was none other than the mysterious female scientist.
’If she’s aware of the system then why hasn’t she confronted me about it?’ That was the thought Kyle pondered inwardly.
During their brief exchange, he’d gotten too over confident which cost him. Underestimating Reze strength, and her weird somewhat overwhelming ability. Making his brows contort down a bit, the Origin entity words replaying in his head.
"Your progress is compelling and far exceeds my expectations. But with fame and power comes decisions and sacrifices."
Staring at Reze back, the idea of her possibly being a powerful being or such crossed his mind. But there was still little to no evidence to prove this claim.
"I can feel your piercing gaze towards me you know.." Reze muttered with a light smile, making Kyle’s suspicions about her surge.
Walking for a while, it didn’t take long till they eventually reached the royal dinning room.
Just like he remembered, it is still spacious like before. With some noticeable new features added, such as the introduction of a single large monitor screen. Identical to the one’s present in Reze current lab, stretching 95 inch wide.
"Unfortunately the dargon’s invasion was much severe than we’d anticipated. Most of our equipments were destroyed, along with several portions of the kingdom."
Looking at her she had a neutral expression, but Kyle could sense the killing intent excluding from her. And even the system surprisingly confirmed it.
