Chapter 330: Into The Unknown
The group's eyes were fixed on Kyle, waiting for him to elaborate on Snow's warning. But before Kyle could say anything, a massive wave crashed over the raft, sending them all tumbling into the water.
Elara's grip on the Heart of the Abyss was the only thing that kept her from being swept away. She kicked hard, breaking the surface of the water, and looked around fradescantly for the others.
The group surfaced, gasping for air, and clatched onto the overturned raft. "Everyone okay?" Kyle asked, his voice loud over the sound of the waves.
Aria cughed, spitting out water. "Yeah, I'm good."
Lucias and Yua nodded, their faces set with determination. Lena, however, was shaking, her eyes wide with fear.
Elara's eyes locked onto Lena's, her face filled with concern. "Lena, you okay?"
Lena nodded, her teeth chattering. "Y-yes, I'm fine."
Kyle's eyes narrowed, his mind working overtime. "Snow, what's going on?"
"The Shadow Realm is adapting to our containment," Snow replied, her voice transmitted through Kyle's comms device. "It's sending a new wave of creatures to breach the portal."
The group's eyes locked onto Kyle, their faces filled with determination. They knew they had to act fast.
"Okay, we need to get to the island," Kyle said, his voice firm. "It's our only chance to regroup and come up with a new plan."
The group nodded, their eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of the island. Elara's eyes, however, were fixed on the water, her senses on high alert.
