The darkness of the cave seemed to press in on them, the only sound the steady drip of water echoing off the stone. Yua’s voice was a whisper, her eyes fixed on something ahead. "I hear it. A voice. Calling for help."
Lucias’s hand instinctively went to the hilt of his sword, his gaze sweeping the shadows. "Where?"
Yua’s finger trembled as she pointed down a narrow tunnel, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and decay. "There. It’s coming from down there."
Elara’s eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed in concern. "Could be a trap."
Kyle shrugged, his expression nonchalant, but his eyes betrayed a flicker of curiosity. "Only one way to find out, right?"
Layla’s gaze was distant, her ears tuned to the sounds of the ocean. "The sea’s whispering something... it’s warning us away."
The group’s eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them. They knew the risks, but they couldn’t ignore a cry for help. With a collective nod, they moved forward, into the heart of the darkness...
The tunnel opened up into a cavern, the ceiling lost in shadows. And there, floating in the center of the space, was a figure. A woman, her long hair drifting like seaweed, her eyes an unearthly green. She smiled, and the group’s instincts screamed warning.
"Welcome, Guardians," she said, her voice like the ocean itself. "I’ve been waiting for you."
The group’s powers were at the ready, their eyes fixed on the woman. Who was she, and what did she want?
The woman’s smile grew wider, her eyes glinning with amusement. "I’m just someone who’s been trapped here for a very long time... and I think you can help me escape."
The woman’s words hung in the water like a challenge, her eyes gleaming with a knowing light. Elara’s gaze narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. "Trapped?" she repeated, her voice neutral. "How did you end up here?"
