The group’s eyes adjusted to the dim, eerie light of Kraken’s surface, the air thick with an otherworldly scent, like ozone and decay. The rough, jagged rocks seemed to stretch on forever, the two red suns hanging low in the sky like dried, bloodied eyes. The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the distant howl of some unseen beast.
Lucias blinked, his gaze unfocusing as he took in the alien landscape. "Where... where are we?"
Elara’s expression was grim, her eyes scanning the horizon. "We’re on Kraken’s surface. We need to get back to my cottage. Now."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his shadow energy flaring as he scanned their surroundings. "The path’s blocked."
The group’s eyes followed his gaze.
